Why Animal Corridors are Important

Often core & buffer forest areas are preserved & protected. As predator & preu population increases, an urgent need arises for more spaces. As animals are territorial in nature, these territories are fiercely protected. It's also time when animals move out of their regular zones, especially young adults in search of new 'homing' zones. If animal corridors or migratory paths are cut off due to new development, these animals stand to suffer, resulting in territorial conflicts, less prey ultimately leading to 'unhealthy' forests. Hence, traditional animal corridors need to be provided topmost priority for purpose of conservation as well as increased forest cover.

Global warming is largely the result of the reduction of green cover.
