6-Day Shimla & Manali Holiday Itinerary - Option 1

Himachal Pradesh is a state in the northern piece of India. Arranged in the Western Himalayas, it is one of the eleven mountain states and is described by an outrageous scene highlighting a few pinnacles and broad waterway frameworks. Day 1: Arrival in Shimla & Mall Road

  • Arrive in Shimla and check in at Hotel Willow Banks (or similar 4-star near Mall Road). Freshen up and spend the evening strolling along Mall Road, The Ridge, and Christ Church. Enjoy local cafés, light shopping, and a relaxed dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Kufri Excursion & Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, head to Kufri for panoramic Himalayan views, pony rides, and adventure activities (seasonal). Return to Shimla and visit Jakhoo Temple, Lakkar Bazaar, and Scandal Point. Overnight at Hotel Willow Banks.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali (Scenic Drive)

  • Check out after breakfast and drive to Manali (approx. 7–8 hours) via Kullu Valley. En route, visit a Kullu shawl factory and enjoy the river views. On arrival, check in at Sun Park Resort Manali (or similar 4-star near the Mall). Evening at leisure.

Day 4: Manali Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, explore Manali town: Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht hot springs, and Tibetan Monastery. Spend the evening at Mall Road for shopping and local food. Overnight at Sun Park Resort Manali. 

Day 5: Solang Valley / Atal Tunnel Excursion

  • Post breakfast, drive to Solang Valley for paragliding, ropeway, and other adventure activities (as per season). If weather and permits allow, extend the trip towards Atal Tunnel (Rohtang) for stunning high-altitude views. Return to Manali and stay at Sun Park Resort Manali.

Day 6: Departure from Manali

  • After breakfast, check out and depart for your onward journey (Volvo/flight/rail connection via Chandigarh or Delhi). Trip ends with beautiful memories of Shimla and Manali.

Day 1: Arrival in Shimla & Local Sightseeing   : 

  • Arrive in Shimla (by flight to Chandigarh & drive to Shimla - 3 hours.
  • Check-in at the hotel and freshen up.
  • Visit Mall Road, Ridge, Christ Church, and Lakkar Bazaar.
  • Explore Jakhoo Temple (if time permits, take a ropeway).
  • Evening at leisure. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 2: Kufri Excursion & More Sightseeing     : 

  • After breakfast, head to Kufri, known for snow activities (in winter) and lush greenery (in summer).
  • Visit Himalayan Nature Park and Green Valley.
  • Optional: Enjoy horse riding or yak rides.
  • Return to Shimla and explore Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Niwas).
  • Evening free for shopping at Mall Road

Day 3: Shimla to Manali (250 km / 6 hrs) : 

  • After breakfast, check out and drive to Manali via Mandi, Kullu.
  • Stop at Pandoh Dam and Hanogi Mata Temple.
  • Visit Kullu Shawl Factory and enjoy River Rafting (optional) in Beas River.
  • Reach Manali by evening, check-in at the hotel, and relax.
  • Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 4: : Solang Valley Adventure & Atal Tunnel (Optional) :

  • After breakfast, head to Solang Valley for adventure sports like paragliding, zorbing, ropeway ride.
  • If accessible, visit Atal Tunnel & Sissu Valley.
  • Return to Manali and explore Old Manali, Evening free for shopping at Mall Road.
  • Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 5: Manali Local Sightseeing & Naggar (Optional)  :

  • After breakfast, visit Vashisht Hot Springsand Tibetan Monastery.
  • Optional: Take a short drive to Naggar Castle & Roerich Art Gallery.
  • Evening free for café hopping or leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 6 :  Departure from Manali : 

  • After breakfast, check out and drive to Chandigarh Airport for departure.
  • Trip ends with beautiful memories!
