Prayagraj, formerly Allahabad is a metropolis in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of the Prayagraj district, the most populous district in the state and 13th most populous district in India and the Prayagraj division.
Ayodhya is a city situated on the banks of the Sarayu river in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of the Ayodhya district as well as the Ayodhya division of Uttar Pradesh, India.
Day 1: Arrival in Prayagraj (1 Night)
Suggested Hotel: Hotel Kanha Shyam (central, popular mid-range) or Millennium Inn as an alternative.
- Arrive in Prayagraj by flight/train and check in.
- Visit Triveni Sangam for a holy dip and boat ride (if time and season permit).
- Explore Anand Bhavan (Nehru family home) and Swaraj Bhavan.
- Evening visit to Allahabad Fort area and nearby ghats (outer view; inside access is restricted).
- Overnight in Prayagraj.
Day 2: Prayagraj to Varanasi (3 Nights)

- Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 3: Varanasi – Old City & Temples
- Early morning sunrise boat ride on the Ganges, viewing major ghats.
- Walk through the old city to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple (follow dress code and security rules).
- Visit Annapurna Temple, Vishalakshi Temple and nearby shrines.
- Return to hotel for breakfast and rest.
- Afternoon visit to Banaras Hindu University (BHU), New Vishwanath Temple and Durga Kund.
- Optional: Attend an evening classical music performance or explore local silk markets.
- Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 4: Varanasi – Sarnath Excursion
- After breakfast, drive to Sarnath (approx. 30–45 minutes).
- Visit Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulgandha Kuti Vihar and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum.
- Return to Varanasi for lunch.
- Free time for shopping (Banarasi silk sarees, handicrafts) or additional temple visits.
- Optional second viewing of the Ganga Aarti from a different ghat.
- Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 5: Varanasi to Ayodhya (1 Night)

- After breakfast, drive to Ayodhya (approx. 4–5 hours).

- Evening aarti at Saryu River ghats and a peaceful riverside walk.
- Overnight in Ayodhya.
Day 6: Departure from Ayodhya
- Morning at leisure for a final temple visit or short walk through the old town.
- Transfer to Ayodhya/Lucknow/Gorakhpur/Varanasi (as per your onward train/flight).

Day 1: Arrival in Prayagraj
- Upon arrival at Prayagraj Airport , you will be greeted and picked up by your driver. Proceed to your hotel for check-in and some rest. Attend wedding at local destination. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Prayagraj.
Day 2: Varanasi Drive to Varanasi & Local Sightseeing
- After breakfast, visit Prayagraj - confluence of Ganga Yamuna & Sarasawati Riviers. Return to hotel, check out from your hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Varanasi (approximately 2.5 hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and have lunch. Later, start your Varanasi experience with a visit to the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus, one of the oldest and largest residential universities in Asia, and explore Bharat Kala Bhavan, a museum housing a vast collection of ancient manuscripts, sculptures, and paintings. Proceed to New Vishwanath Temple, also located on the BHU campus, known for its striking white marble architecture. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 3: Varanasi Local Sightseeing
- Morning boat ride on River Ganga at 0500 a.m. From there, make your way to Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.Attend the Pooja Ceremony at 10.00 am. Visit the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and then make a stop at the Durga Temple, which stands out with its red hue and stunning architecture. In the afternoon, explore Tulsi Manas Mandir, where Tulsidas wrote the Ramcharitmanas, and end the day at Assi Ghat, a vibrant location perfect for an evening stroll or to simply soak in the atmosphere of the ghats. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: More of Varanasi
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel on November 27th. Spend the day exploring the cultural and spiritual wonders of Varanasi. Visit the Ramnagar Fort, a Mughal-era structure located on the eastern bank of the Ganges River, which also houses a museum displaying royal artifacts. Later, make your way to Sarnath, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Explore attractions like the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum. In the evening, head to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the magnificent Ganga Aarti, a spiritual spectacle involving lamps, chants, and rhythmic rituals by the river. After this soul-stirring experience, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple for Pooja between 9 p.m to 10.00 p.m Return to Varanasi and spend the evening experiencing the vibrant culture of the city, perhaps exploring the bustling local markets or trying some street food. Overnight at your hotel in Varanasi.
Day 5: Drive to Ayodhya & Local Sightseeing
- On the morning of November 28th, have breakfast and check out from your hotel. Embark on a drive to Ayodhya (approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival, check into your hotel and have lunch. Start your Ayodhya exploration with a visit to Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the birthplace of Lord Rama. Continue to Hanuman Garhi, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman located atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the town. Next, visit Kanak Bhawan, a temple that resembles a palace and is dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita. In the evening, head to Saryu Ghat to experience the serene and spiritual evening aarti on the banks of the Saryu River. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Ayodhya.
Day 6 : Drive to Ayodhya Airport for Departure
- On your final day, have breakfast at your hotel and check out. If time permits, you can take a brief walk around the area or visit any nearby attractions before being driven to Ayodhya Airport for your onward journey. Depart with wonderful memories of your spiritual and cultural exploration
