7-Day Amritsar, Dalhousie & Dharamshala Itinerary Option 1

Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar (1 Night)

Arrive in Amritsar and check in to your hotel. After a brief rest, visit the iconic Golden Temple and experience the serene atmosphere of this sacred Sikh shrine. In the evening, explore the bustling Hall Bazaar for local handicrafts and Punjabi street food. Overnight stay at your Amritsar hotel.

Day 2: Amritsar Sightseeing & Transfer to Dalhousie (2 Nights)
Hotel: Grand View Hotel Dalhousie (or similar 3–4 star)
After breakfast, visit Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum to learn about the region’s history. Later, proceed to the Wagah–Attari Border to witness the evening flag-lowering ceremony. After the ceremony, drive to Dalhousie (approx. 5–6 hours). Check in to your Dalhousie hotel and relax. Overnight in Dalhousie.

Day 3: Dalhousie Local Sightseeing
Enjoy breakfast with mountain views, then head out to explore Dalhousie. Visit Subhash Baoli, St. John’s Church, and stroll along Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk. Day 4: Khajjiar Excursion & Dalhousie

Day 5: Dalhousie to Dharamshala (3 Nights)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Dharamshala (approx. 4–5 hours). On arrival, check in to your hotel nestled amidst cedar forests and mountain views. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the nearby market or simply relaxing at the property. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 6: Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj Sightseeing
Post breakfast, proceed for a full-day tour of Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. Visit the Tsuglagkhang Complex (Dalai Lama Temple), Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, and the St. John in the Wilderness Church. Explore the Tibetan markets for handicrafts, thangkas, and local teas. In the evening, enjoy a café-hopping experience in McLeod Ganj before returning to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7: Kangra Valley Excursion & Departure
