When can I renew my passport?

Passports can be renewed for a number of reasons - change of appearance, change of address, change in qualification or when the validity of passport comes to an end. Indian passports are normally issued for a period of ten years. Its possible some changes may take place during this period. Necessary documents need to be submitted in original along-with original passport. Passport fees of Rs 1500 need to be paid to the passport office doing online transfer in case of ordinary passport.
