Come September, Time to Travel

Probably the most underrated month to Travel, September is considered the best month for travel, worldwide (barring few exceptions) In India the rains have enveloped most of the country, bringing down temperature and offering clear skies. The plains are few degrees cooler while hotels & lodging facilities are less crowded than peak months. In travel parlance, September is called the semi-shoulder or off season. Europe too, sees smaller crowds than the busy summer months of June - August. Temperatures are cooler though, ditto for North America. It's also the month for surprises - clear mountain views are a distinct possibility as are crystal clear rivers, gushing waterfalls & plentiful supply of fresh air. Accommodation is plentiful, often commanding half the prices. The same could be said for transportation. All in all, a great month to travel if looking for pleasant surprises!!
