Can I carry alcohol on domestic flights?

Flyers are often confused about the amount of alcohol that can be carried on domestic flights. For example, if flying from Goa to Delhi, what is the amount of bottles that can be carried. DGCA & airlines formulated a policy of allowing 5 litres of alcohol in checked baggage, provided the alcohol content is between 24% & 70% by volume. It must be in sealed bottles & original packing & needs to be securely packed to prevent leakage or breakage. There are different limits for beer & wine. Also, when flying to an airport where prohibition is in force in a particular state, alcohol cannot be carried in checked or cabin baggage.
